About the role
- Staff Water Resources Engineer role in Ontario managing hydrological models and analyses while collaborating with industry professionals. Engaging in fieldwork and technical report preparation for various engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Construct hydrologic and hydraulic models for projects like watershed studies and floodplain analyses
- Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses requiring water resources input
- Prepare engineering calculations, designs, data analysis, and technical reports
- Conduct field work including site investigation, monitoring, and construction supervision
- Provide environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, auditing, and permitting services
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in water resources, environmental, or civil engineering or similar (required)
- Advanced degree in water resources, environmental, or civil engineering or similar (preferred)
- Prior co-op or internship experience in environmental or civil consulting (preferred)
- Experience with a broad range of engineering software including SWMM and Hec-RAS (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (required)
- Eligible to be licensed to practice as a professional engineer in Ontario (required)
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
