- Senior Principal - Mining Environmental role at Geosyntec. Focused on environmental management in the mining sector with business development and project management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Business development, including securing new clients, fostering long-term client relationships, leading proposal preparation, and developing and executing a strategic business development plan.
- Leading meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other stakeholders to drive project success.
- Project management, including planning and executing projects, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring quality and client satisfaction, and driving profitability.
- Occasional mentoring and leadership of senior, mid-career, and junior staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
- Managing work to meet contract schedules, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and high standards of care.
- Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals that reflect innovation and technical excellence.
- Occasional fieldwork as required by the Company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, science, or a related field of study (required)
- At least 15 years of relevant consulting or client-side experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
- Extensive expertise in mining regulatory frameworks and environmental management, including permitting and ESG (required)
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams (required)
- Demonstrated success in client development and management (required)
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
