About the role

  • Project Coordinator supporting execution of construction projects at Victor Energy. Coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones and reporting requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Provide execution and coordination support which include but are not limited to:
  • Reporting – Monitor project progress and create project status reports for project managers and stakeholders. This includes data collection and verification as required.
  • Project Delivery – Track project milestones ensuring deliverables are completed and meet project requirements, including assisting with resource scheduling.
  • Meetings – Schedule meetings and facilitate communication between the project manager and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle and follow up on actions.
  • Formal Communications – Manage project-related inquiries or escalations and provide formal responses in a timely manner.
  • Schedule management – Develop, maintain and monitor project schedule and tasks.
  • Cost management – Prepare reports and track costs including change request backup.
  • Risk Management – Prepare, maintain and monitor risk register and gather updates.
  • Documentation – Maintain project documents such as the project plan, budget, schedule or scope statement, as directed by the project manager.
  • Additional Support – as requested by the project manager such as tracking status of quality documentation, financial information, etc.
  • Assist with parsing and meeting project requirements from internal and external teams.
  • Use of approved systems in alignment with company expectations.
  • Promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental protection on the project.

Requirements

  • Degree or certification in business administration, project management, or a related field
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in a fast paced administrative or coordinator role
  • Utility construction experience is a strong asset, including working in a construction office at site
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are confident interacting with key contacts at all levels in verbal, written and electronic form
  • Exceptional eye for detail and organizational skills in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of project management and/or scheduling software such as MS Project.
  • Proven ability to understand construction administration and contract commercial terms
  • Analytical skills and a logical, independent problem solver
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
