About the role

  • Lead and oversee complex IT programs from inception to completion. Hybrid role requiring 2+ days/week in downtown Toronto office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Manage multiple interrelated projects, working with project managers and cross-functional teams. Drive the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of IT initiatives. Develop detailed program roadmaps, schedules, and budgets. Identify and manage program risks, dependencies, and issues, escalating as necessary. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and prioritize work. Facilitate regular program reviews with leadership and stakeholders, providing clear reporting on progress and KPIs. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, data security, and IT governance. Lead continuous improvement efforts, leveraging Agile, Scrum, or other project delivery methodologies. Mentor junior project managers and promote best practices in project and program management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred). 5-10 years of experience in IT project/program management. Proven track record managing large, complex IT programs in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, cloud technologies, and/or enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM). Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana). Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies. Ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts, and offshore/onshore resources. Certifications (preferred but not required): PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications.
