Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Analytics Capability Centre, the Service Designer supports the Data Centre of Excellence by designing and delivering data products that enable data access, analytics, and data-informed decision-making. The role applies human-centered design to data services, focusing on business outcomes, innovation, and treating data as a corporate asset. You'll collaborate across the organization to define scope and roadmaps, design and prototype data products, and improve internal and external data user experiences.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities: Apply human-centered design to data and analytics product development. Lead discovery, requirements gathering, process mapping, and service design. Analyze data user experiences across pipelines, interfaces, catalogues, and architecture. Identify gaps, opportunities, and solutions across current and future states. Conduct and facilitate: User and behavioral research, Co-design workshops, Prototyping, concept testing, and usability testing, Journey mapping, service blueprints, and user story mapping. Develop service metrics, performance analysis, and reporting. Create strategy, roadmap, and technical documentation. Support change management, data governance, and integration of new data architectures. Required Experience: 6+ years creating journey maps and service blueprints. 6+ years facilitating co-design workshops. 5+ years applying human-centered design (UX, CX, service design). 5+ years working with digital or data services. 5+ years as a Service Designer on large, complex projects. Nice to Have: Research analysis and presentation experience. Service metrics and measurement design. Behavioral/ethnographic field research experience.
