About the role
- Hiring a Junior IT Consultant for a government client in Toronto. Onsite contract from April 2026 to March 2027.
Responsibilities
- The consultant will lead and facilitate workshops to elicit business requirements, manage product backlog items, refine user stories, and act as proxy Product Owner when needed. Responsibilities include requirements documentation, collaboration with UI/UX, user testing, and working with CMS or relational DB-based projects.
Requirements
- Experience in leading workshops, Agile methodology, managing product backlog, breaking epics into user stories, strong analytical skills, experience with business users and IT teams alignment, user testing, UI/UX collaboration, CMS or DB-based content design, relational DB or CMS experience. Technical skills: knowledge of business system technologies, system design, development, testing, implementation, prototyping tools (Axure RP7+), Microsoft Azure, Microsoft TFS/Azure DevOps. Communication skills: strong stakeholder management, ability to explain technical concepts, collaboration, report and dashboard preparation.
