About the role

  • Territory sales manager driving industrial technology revenue for Allient in Western USA and Canada. Managing distributors, solution-based sales cycles, pipelines, and regional growth strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual sales quota and generate revenue, primarily through the authorized distributor network
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, OEMs, system integrators, end-users, technology partners, and engineering firms
  • Provide a consultative sales approach to drive customer satisfaction with products and services
  • Demonstrate product benefits and basic technical functions, influencing prospective customers during system manufacturing design
  • Develop pipeline, engage customers, and execute new business opportunities focused on products supporting the Rockwell Automation ecosystem
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, customers, and applications for core technologies
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives
  • Maintain knowledge of products, markets, and competitive positioning
  • Quote customers, collect sales forecasts, follow up with leads, and maintain the opportunity pipeline in the CRM
  • Represent the company at trade shows and events
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, product management, and sales team members
  • Operate effectively in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as necessary

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience in industrial or technical markets
  • Familiarity with the Rockwell Automation ecosystem
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing complex, solution-based sales cycles
  • Experience conducting sales presentations and developing strategic account plans
  • Ability to work independently in territory and account management
  • Productive work habits in a home office/remote environment
  • Must be located in the Western part of the USA or Canada
  • Ability to travel as required (approximately 30% of time)
  • General PC skills using corporate systems and Microsoft suite products
  • Experience with Salesforce and CRM systems
