Director of Global Business Resiliency at Apotex responsible for developing and implementing business resiliency programs. Leading strategic initiatives for crisis management and business continuity across all company functions.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Apotex Business Resiliency program, including vision, strategy, and planning across short and long-term timeframes.
Chair the Business Resiliency Steering Committee.
Mature and implement/align all components of the business resiliency program, in close partnership with the VP ERM, Sr. Director EHS, Director of Corporate Security, and IT Dep., including emergency response, incident management, crisis management, and business recovery
Draft and maintain all relevant business resiliency policies and SOPs
Partner closely with the IT team to align with disaster recovery
Develop crisis management and business recovery planning approach, materials, and templates, and implement across all Apotex sites and critical business functions
Lead training, exercising, and awareness activities across the business to strengthen understanding of and compliance with business resiliency requirements
Serve as crisis management coordinator for the business, in partnership with the VP, ERM
Research, recommend/select, and implement fit for purpose business resiliency technology
Ensure business resiliency program adheres to all relevant regulations and standards, and meets expectations of key internal and external stakeholders
Selection/oversight/management/coordination of external business resiliency partners, as applicable
Partner with functional and site leadership across the business to ensure adherence to all business resiliency requirements, including building, maintaining and exercising plans

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Demonstrated experience working in large, global highly regulated industries
Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in complex organizations
Demonstrated experience leading teams in high-stress/crisis situations
Strong knowledge of related standards and regulations
Excellent proven communication skills with ability to influence/lead across all levels
Ability to maintain and project calm, make clear decisions, and lead across all levels of the organization in high-stress situations
Familiarity with relevant global standards, eg ISO 22301, BCI Good Practice Guidelines
10+ years of progressive leadership in business resiliency or related functions in pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries
5+ years of experience building and leading business resiliency programs in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
