About the role

Responsibilities
- Participate in the design of mine tailings storage facilities (TSFs)
- Contribute to the preparation of design drawings and technical specifications
- Participate in the planning and execution of site investigations and studies for mine tailings storage facilities
- Participate in project meetings on matters related to your discipline
- Take part in all stages of facility design, from concept development through construction
- Conduct inspections of tailings storage facilities, dam/embankment stability reviews, and other studies related to the design and performance of mine tailings installations
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams under the supervision of senior engineers, with support from junior engineers and drafters
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering
- Master's degree and/or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Knowledge of slope stability and seepage/groundwater flow modeling software
- Excellent ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience in the mining sector is an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in English in addition to French
