About the role

  • Payroll Administrator for BGC Engineering in Vancouver, processing payroll for 700+ employees. Responsibilities include payroll inquiries, updating employee records, and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in full cycle biweekly payroll processing for 700+ employees
  • Respond to all payroll inquiries
  • Update employee changes within BST and ADP software
  • Assist with benefits administration and taxable benefits, in coordination with HR
  • Prepare workers compensation and other payroll statutory filings for all BGC jurisdictions
  • Run various reports as needed
  • Issue ROEs and respond to Service Canada requests
  • Assist in completing year end reporting requirements and reconciliations
  • Assist with other payroll duties, as assigned

Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience in full cycle payroll, preferably in a related industry (Engineering or other professional services)
  • PCP designation from the National Payroll Institute or actively working toward completion is preferred
  • Payroll experience with an organization of at least 200 employees
  • Familiarity with reconciling benefit provider statements
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with US or Australian payroll would be an asset
  • Experience with BST, BambooHR, ADP’s WorkForce Now would be an asset
