About the role

  • Program development manager leading proposals, strategy, and growth for Catalyste+’s international development programs. Coordinating teams, funders, technical experts, and project portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all aspects of program development and growth
  • Lead the organization’s program growth and development strategy by designing, developing and writing proposals and concept notes
  • Coordinate with senior leaders to implement Catalyste+’s strategy for growing and managing its project portfolio and pursuing new opportunities
  • Maintain processes to track, prioritize and report program development initiatives and pipeline opportunities
  • Guide program design and setup, including results-based management, thematic issues, value for money and innovative approaches
  • Develop strategies in thematic areas including gender, governance and environment
  • Build and maintain networks of organizations, funders and individuals
  • Identify programmatic synergies between projects
  • Use analytics to support evidence-based planning, programming, budgeting and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with Program and Communications teams on clear, aligned technical messaging
  • Develop and manage technical content for communications, training and orientations
  • Cultivate and coordinate technical experts and promote knowledge sharing
  • Develop and promote technical tools to improve operations across departments
  • Conduct staff performance management assessments
  • Provide direction, training, coaching, supervision, professional support, performance feedback and career planning

Requirements

  • Strong, demonstrated and successful program design and proposal development experience in international development projects and/or relevant university degree
  • Understanding of advanced aspects of the primary area of specialization and fundamental concepts of related disciplines
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to build consensus, strengthen relationships among disparate stakeholders, and influence with/without formal authority
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills
  • Energetic self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional time-management, organization and prioritization skills
  • Bilingual French/English; English/Spanish is an asset
