About the role
- Field Service Technician ensuring customer equipment operates at peak performance in telecommunications, data centers, and utilities. Providing timely service and support for essential energy systems solutions.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, and basic repair of battery equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and diagnose common technical issues, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment
- Provide on-site technical assistance and training to customers on the safe operation of their equipment
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and professional service
- Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs, explain technical details, and resolve concerns
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and customer interactions
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 ½+ years of experience in field service or a related role, preferably in the electrical field
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience working with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics and manuals
- Basic electrical understanding and experience with test equipment is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, such as bending, stooping, and kneeling.
