Responsibilities
Travel to customer sites to perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, and basic repair of battery equipment
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
Troubleshoot and diagnose common technical issues, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment
Provide on-site technical assistance and training to customers on the safe operation of their equipment
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and professional service
Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs, explain technical details, and resolve concerns
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards
Complete timely reports, including service reports, expense reports, and quality alerts.
Requirements
Minimum 1 ½ years of field service experience in electrical, telecom, or energy-related fields
Basic understanding of electrical systems and test equipment (Aptitude exam is part of application process; 70% passing score required)
Ability to travel 30% of the time
Ability to pass a background and driving record check
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics and manuals
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for insurability
Availability to work non-standard hours in a 24/7 work week
Ability to lift 75 lbs. and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
Ability to perform physical tasks, such as bending, stooping, and kneeling.
