Responsibilities
Provide expert-level technical support to customers, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of complex battery equipment and power systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate technical issues, utilizing your in-depth knowledge and advanced diagnostic tools.
Perform preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and performance optimization to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventative measures to avoid costly downtime.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing timely, efficient, and professional service.
Effectively communicate technical information to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing guidance and recommendations on best practices for equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards.
Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Train and mentor junior technicians, sharing your expertise and knowledge to enhance their skills and development.
Lead and manage small-scale field service projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project specifications.
Requirements
Technical degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical engineering, electronics technology)
3+ years of proven experience as a Field Service Technician, demonstrating progressive responsibility and technical expertise in the battery and power systems industry.
In-depth knowledge of battery technologies, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, and related systems.
Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, including the ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Proficiency in using specialized tools and test equipment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
Former EnerSys experience is preferred.
