Senior Cloud Automation Engineer managing Google Compute Engine for infrastructure automation at Geotab. Collaborating with teams to deliver solutions and oversee Cloud Automation projects.

Responsibilities

Creating automated infrastructure management systems, written primarily in Python and Powershell
Overseeing complex Cloud Automation/DevOps projects
Designing and building software to maintain IaaS solutions
Managing day-to-day activities like system-level tuning and debugging
Providing regular status reports to key partners
Collaborating with internal technical teams and cross-functional teams with senior engineers

5+ years of experience in software development
Specialized expertise in programming languages (Python, C#, or Java) and scripting languages (Powershell or Bash)
Proven experience with cloud computing platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
Working knowledge of databases, SQL, and Big Data tools; experience with Postgres or Google BigQuery is a strong asset
Highly organized self-starter able to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Entrepreneurial mindset with the flexibility to adapt to growing technology and market demands
Professional certifications such as Google Cloud Certified, Professional Cloud Architect, or AWS Certified are considered an asset
