About the role

  • Senior Project Manager leading end-to-end product innovation projects for cannabis company. Ensuring cross-functional alignment and managing external partners for product commercialization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product innovation projects from ideation through launch and post-implementation review
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, costs, risks, and resources
  • Track progress, manage dependencies, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies across regulatory, technical, and supply chain domains
  • Escalate critical issues appropriately and drive resolution through cross-functional alignment
  • Coordinates deliverables across Product, Engineering, Regulatory, Marketing, Operations, and Sales (internally and externally)
  • Facilitates structured decision-making and ensure alignment with business priorities
  • Leads ad-hoc cross-functional working groups when required to unblock progress
  • Manages relationships with manufacturing partners, suppliers, and customers
  • Supports customer engagements, product requests, and commercialization initiatives
  • Ensures clear communication, expectation management, and timely delivery
  • Manages product BOMs, certifications, and development costs
  • Supports testing, compliance, and regulatory documentation activities
  • Supports inventory planning and operational readiness for product launches
  • Provides structured project reporting to Senior Leadership
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
  • Supports the Head of Category and team on strategic initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Proven track record delivering hardware or SKU-based products from concept to launch
  • Strong problem-solving and structured decision-making
  • Excellent stakeholder and cross-functional collaboration
  • Clear, concise, and proactive communication
  • High accountability and ownership mindset
  • Results-driven with strong attention to detail
  • High integrity and professional judgment
  • Hands-on experience managing the full vape hardware product lifecycle
  • Experience in cannabis and/or nicotine industries and regulatory environments
  • Strong customer-facing relationship management experience
  • Familiarity with extraction processes, formulations, and vape manufacturing
  • Proficiency with project management tools and workflows
  • PMP certification (asset)
