About the role

  • Area Sales Manager expanding Gutor UPS systems’ nuclear-industry market share. Developing strategic accounts, technical bids, and customer relationships across Canada and selected US states.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand Gutor UPS’s market share within the nuclear power industry
  • Deploy Gutor global strategy and develop and execute structured sales action plans
  • Assess market potential, identify new customers and applications, develop business opportunities, and expand Gutor’s nuclear-market presence
  • Build long-term relationships with nuclear utilities, EPCs, engineering firms, consultants, and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure a best-in-class customer experience across marketing, sales, tendering, project execution, after-sales service, and customer support
  • Report directly to the US Sales Director
  • Formulate strategies to meet market demands and company growth targets
  • Map key customers, consultants, EPCs, and influencers and develop relationships within those organizations
  • Perform technical and sales presentations
  • Meet with customer engineering and technical teams to communicate and promote Gutor’s value proposition
  • Prepare technical and commercial quotations with the Tendering team for targeted projects
  • Coordinate with other Gutor regions on international projects
  • Win targeted projects in accordance with Gutor sales guidance
  • Share knowledge, experience, and best practices within the Gutor Sales Team
  • Gather customer feedback and collaborate with internal departments to ensure continuous customer relations
  • Monitor market trends and competitor movements to adjust sales tactics and increase market share
  • Use reporting tools to archive and track business data, actions, commitments, and activities
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual orders targets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering or a related field; Graduation from the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School may also be considered in lieu of a traditional degree
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and/or business development experience in the electrical power equipment, industrial automation, or related industrial technology sector
  • Experience working with the nuclear power industry, including nuclear power plants (NPPs), utilities, EPCs, engineering firms, or other organizations supporting the nuclear industry
  • Experience with generators, transformers, switchgear, electrical distribution and protection equipment, protection and control systems, or industrial automation
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and achieving sales and/or order intake targets
  • Familiarity with nuclear quality including NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and components used in nuclear power facilities
  • Knowledge of nuclear equipment qualification requirements and processes, including seismic, EMC, temperature, humidity, and radiation testing
  • Proficient in verbal and written English skills
  • Approximately 25% domestic travel within the assigned territory; occasional international travel may be required
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
