About the role

  • Inside Sales Representative supporting Hygiena, a global microbiology diagnostics company, with account retention, lead generation, and B2B sales in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Support Territory Sales Managers to maintain and strengthen general account portfolios
  • Build and maintain client relationships to ensure long-term business and customer satisfaction
  • Provide post-sales support and proactively address client concerns
  • Conduct regular phone outreach to promote Hygiena products and solutions
  • Target inactive or declining accounts to recover lost sales velocity
  • Partner with Territory Sales Managers and use Sales Operations data to identify account health risks
  • Implement retention strategies to reduce customer churn
  • Identify and qualify high-potential leads through cold calling, email, and social media
  • Manage inbound inquiry routing according to established assignment rules
  • Identify, clean, and input new contact data into the CRM
  • Generate sales reports, analyze performance metrics, and update management on sales activities, forecasts, and results
  • Cold call leads for lead identification, qualification, and potential opportunity creation
  • Introduce products or services, assess prospect needs, and explain how offerings address them
  • Develop sales plans and strategies to penetrate new markets and increase territory market share and profitability
  • Manage and update sales pipelines, track lead and prospect interactions, and follow up on opportunities
  • Govern and protect data quality
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a B2B or B2C environment; preference for 2 years' experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent French preferred but not required
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Results-driven mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Adaptability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and willingness to learn and grow in sales
  • Must be customer focused
  • Must be able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
