About the role

  • Payroll Analyst managing payroll processing for Canadian employee groups across multiple provinces. Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and responding to employee inquiries regarding pay and deductions.

Responsibilities

  • Process accurate, timely payroll for assigned employee groups across multiple provinces
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records in the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and timely updates
  • Apply knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation to daily processing
  • Respond professionally to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax matters
  • Generate standard payroll reports for HR and Finance teams

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Canadian payroll experience with hands-on processing responsibilities
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, HR, or related field, OR equivalent combination of education and payroll experience
  • Solid understanding of Canadian payroll fundamentals including CPP, EI, income tax, vacation pay, and statutory holidays
  • Experience with payroll/HRIS systems (ADP, Ceridian, Workday, or similar)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
