Responsibilities
Process accurate, timely payroll for assigned employee groups across multiple provinces
Maintain accurate employee payroll records in the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and timely updates
Apply knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation to daily processing
Respond professionally to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax matters
Generate standard payroll reports for HR and Finance teams
Requirements
2+ years of Canadian payroll experience with hands-on processing responsibilities
Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, HR, or related field, OR equivalent combination of education and payroll experience
Solid understanding of Canadian payroll fundamentals including CPP, EI, income tax, vacation pay, and statutory holidays
Experience with payroll/HRIS systems (ADP, Ceridian, Workday, or similar)
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
