About the role

  • Senior Compensation Specialist shaping pay programs for PCL Constructors, an employee-owned construction company. Partnering with HR leaders on salary reviews, incentives, job evaluations and Total Rewards policies.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to company-wide Compensation programs that attract, retain and recognize top talent
  • Partner with HR and business leaders as a trusted advisor on pay programs and strategies aligned with organizational goals and market trends
  • Build stakeholder relationships and translate priorities into practical compensation solutions
  • Deliver annual salary reviews and incentive programs through planning, coordination and advanced Excel use
  • Collaborate across teams to design and communicate compensation initiatives balancing business needs with employee experience
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and modernize compensation practices for scalability and business growth
  • Provide education and resources so leaders and employees understand the approach to pay
  • Support job evaluations, role documentation and maintenance of Total Rewards policies

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in HR or a related field
  • Progress toward the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred
  • CHRP/CHRL considered an asset
  • 7+ years of progressive compensation experience
  • Solid knowledge of compensation principles and legislation
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • Ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights
  • Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex ideas and influence others
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
