About the role
- Refrigeration Engineer providing engineering support for manufacturing operations at Grifols. Focusing on refrigeration systems and collaborating across various engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Provide sought-after expertise in refrigeration engineering
- Make decisions on assigned work that influence departmental objectives
- Collaborate closely with the site's technical manager and various departments to address day-to-day issues
- Develop alternative solutions to problems and handle complex issues independently
- Provide technical support for the design and implementation of new and upgraded facilities, systems, and equipment used in manufacturing operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in a biotech or chemical company
- Experience with GMP appreciated
- Knowledge of various refrigerants such as R134a, R22, NH3 (ammonia), CO2, R404A, R507A, and others
- Expertise in HVAC systems, including knowledge of differential pressure
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and communication skills
- Proficiency in troubleshooting issues related to freezer evaporators, compressors, defrost systems, etc.
