About the role
- Deals Manager advising clients on infrastructure and project finance at PwC Canada. Building financial models, analyzing markets, and leading advisory engagements and business development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute infrastructure and project finance advisory engagements across a variety of asset types
- Develop, review, and oversee complex financial models supporting project financing and funding analyses
- Perform financial, commercial, and market analyses related to infrastructure and project finance
- Stay current on developments in the Canadian infrastructure market and identify advisory opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor
- Train, coach, and review work completed by Associates and Senior Associates across multiple engagements
- Contribute to preparation and review of client reports, deliverables, and information memorandums
- Lead business development efforts, including proposals, pitch decks, and marketing materials
- Work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
Requirements
- Strong finance background with experience in project finance and/or infrastructure advisory or investing
- Experience in consulting, lending, sponsorship, development, investment, or government agency environments is considered an asset
- Proven financial modeling expertise, including development and review of infrastructure project models
- Experience with financial forecasting and cash-flow analysis
- Experience working broadly in infrastructure; sector-specific experience is an asset but not required
- CPA, CFA, CBV, or similar financial designation and/or a post-graduate degree preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar platforms is an asset
- Ability to work independently and confidently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Openness to learning new tools and approaches, including emerging digital and analytics capabilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with diverse teams
