About the role

  • Director of Product Design leading Replicant’s AI-powered contact-center platform design practice. Defining product architecture, design systems, research, and conversational experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Replicant's design practice and report directly to the VP of Product
  • Lead a team of three, including a Lead/Principal Product Designer and Conversation Design Lead
  • Own the end-to-end customer experience, from sales conversation and deployment through AI agent interactions and analytics
  • Define information architecture for the converging conversation intelligence and agent-building platform
  • Own the design system architecture, pattern language, usage rules, documentation, governance, and contribution model
  • Extend design influence across product managers, delivery engineers, and solutions engineers
  • Drive rapid prototype-and-validation loops with internal customers and contact center operators
  • Establish the research practice underlying product and conversation design
  • Bring product design and conversation design together
  • Remain approximately 80% hands-on and 20% focused on leading the design practice

Requirements

  • Based in a US or Canadian timezone
  • 10+ years of product design experience
  • Experience leading or growing designers
  • Experience owning design for an enterprise or operational product
  • HCI or interaction-design foundation
  • Experience thinking across systems, journeys, and multiple interfaces
  • Experience driving organizational change through resistance
  • Product/business thinking and close collaboration with product management
  • Experience governing a design system, including contribution, documentation, and deprecation
  • Ability to identify opportunities and set priorities independently
  • AI-native design practice with adopted workflows or assets
  • Ability to lead people, give feedback, run critiques, develop designers, hire, and hold a position with executives and customers
  • Portfolio required
  • LinkedIn profile required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada
