About the role

  • Remediation Project Manager responsible for managing environmental liabilities and projects for Shell Canada. Leading risk management strategies and HSSE initiatives across western Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Manage environmental liabilities and deliver site assessment, remediation, and monitoring projects
  • Develop risk management strategies to reduce soil and groundwater liability
  • Lead and implement country-wide HSSE initiatives
  • Manage financial approvals and spend with environmental consultants
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Engineering/Science Degree, preferably in geology/hydrogeology/engineering discipline
  • 6 or more years of experience in environmental project management, site assessment, remediation, and risk and liability management
  • Experience working across multiple western Canadian regulatory jurisdictions
  • Proven record of contract management experience
  • Understanding of HSSE risks and mitigations
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
