About the role

  • Communications intern creating multimedia, internal, and social content for Tenaris’s Canadian steel-tube operations. Supporting employee engagement, events, and communications department operations.

Responsibilities

  • Create, organize, and produce articles, graphics, videos, and multimedia materials for intranet, email, digital signage, social media, and print
  • Develop, draft, edit, and proofread newsletters, updates, and event-related content
  • Design visual assets using Canva and Adobe Suite while working with vendors
  • Walk the mill floor regularly at the Sault Ste. Marie Industrial Centre to gather employee insights and stories
  • Support planning and execution of initiatives and events
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to align content with communication initiatives
  • Produce photography and videography and coordinate with internal teams and specialists
  • Develop creative concepts and communication solutions supporting business objectives and employee engagement
  • Assist with communications operations, including digital asset management, timelines, reports, content calendars, meetings, and documentation

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree focused on Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Creative Media, Public Relations or related disciplines
  • Professional level proficiency in English (C1 or equivalent)
  • Proficient in Canva
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite is a plus
  • Very familiar with social media platforms, particularly Facebook
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge and skills in photography, videography, and graphic design
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to tailor messages for different audiences and translate complex topics into clear, engaging content
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze data
  • Ability to work independently and within dynamic teams
  • Energetic, self-starting attitude with strong decision-making skills
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
  • Ability to walk the mill floor regularly while adhering to safety guidelines
