About the role
- Business Systems Analyst providing senior business analysis for IT systems within Toronto Public Health. Enhancing technology use to improve client experience through effective planning and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Provides senior level business analysis expertise for reliable, effective/efficient services in IT systems and applications
- Implements plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements
- Supervises, motivates, and trains assigned staff ensuring teamwork and high work standards
- Monitors and evaluates staff performance; approves vacation requests; handles grievances
- Prepares and presents reports to management supporting recommendations on business processes
- Participates in assignments related to IT systems architecture and infrastructure design
- Acts as first point of contact for IT business support and consultation to divisional units
- Analyzes business processes and documents system requirements
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, Public Administration, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience facilitating sessions and workshops to identify current and optimal state processes
- Experience with creating process models, use cases, and documenting user requirements
- Extensive experience in developing test strategies, test cases, and test scripts for technology solutions
- Considerable experience with enterprise solutions and technology platforms such as ERP and cloud-based solutions
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into logical data groupings
- Expert-level analytical skills in customer service delivery, information management, and user interface design
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships
