About the role

  • Project Manager for environmental site assessments, remediation, and reclamation at Triton Environmental. Leading technical teams and managing projects towards regulatory closure, contributing to a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing environmental site assessments, remediation, and reclamation programs, including Phase 1 ESA/Stage 1 Preliminary Site Investigation (PSI), Phase 2 ESA/Stage 2 PSI, and/or Detailed Site Investigations (DSI).
  • Managing projects towards regulatory closure, including certificate applications.
  • Contributing expertise to multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Groundwater monitoring design, well installation, and sampling.
  • Spill contingency planning and response.
  • Providing technical and regulatory expertise regarding contaminated sites work.
  • Contributing high-quality reports, cost estimates, and proposals.
  • Liaising and negotiating with other partners, clients, regulators, contractors, and sub-contractors.
  • Leading technical teams to ensure the quality, cost effectiveness, and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Providing mentorship and training for our environmental professional team.
  • Ensuring clients’ and Triton’s safety standards are maintained or exceeded.
  • Collaborating effectively within Triton’s culture, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in soil science, environmental science, earth sciences, or related field.
  • A graduate degree (M.Sc.) in a related discipline is an asset.
  • Registered P.Ag with an Institute of Agrology (BC or Alberta), or another relevant professional organization (e.g., P.Geo. R.P.Bio, P.Biol., P.Chem).
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the environmental industry.
  • Experience with Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments (Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Assessments), soil sampling programs, groundwater monitoring programs, remediation, reclamation.
  • Detailed Site Assessments, and/or Reclamation Certificate Applications, Spill contingency planning and response.
  • Experience with applicable Provincial and Federal regulatory guidelines (e.g., CCME, BC EMA and CSR).
  • Excellent verbal communications skills.
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style.
  • Valid driver's license from a Canadian province or Territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting.
