About the role

  • Business Development Manager expanding AIS workforce solutions for data center telecommunications and low-voltage construction. Generating contractor relationships, project opportunities, proposals, and recurring revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy for AIS's Division 27 workforce solutions
  • Identify upcoming data center, telecommunications, and low-voltage construction projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with telecom, low-voltage, general, and data center construction companies
  • Prospect through cold calling, email campaigns, networking, referrals, industry events, LinkedIn, and existing relationships
  • Develop and maintain a qualified Division 27 opportunity pipeline
  • Schedule and conduct customer meetings and presentations
  • Understand project requirements, manpower needs, schedules, and labor challenges
  • Develop customized workforce solutions
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, and sales presentations
  • Negotiate commercial terms and assist in closing new accounts
  • Maintain CRM records and sales activity
  • Develop long-term customer relationships and identify additional project opportunities
  • Collaborate with AIS Recruiting, Operations, Project Management, and leadership teams to fulfill customer commitments
  • Expand AIS's presence in the data center construction market and develop repeat business across projects and geographic markets

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales, business development, account management, or related experience
  • Experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage, data center construction, staffing, or workforce solutions strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications construction and Division 27 scopes
  • Existing relationships within the telecommunications or data center construction industry highly preferred
  • Proven track record of generating new business
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, negotiate, and close
  • Strong cold calling and outbound sales skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of a territory or market
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, project visits, and industry events
  • Experience in data center construction, telecommunications, structured cabling, fiber optics, low-voltage construction, network infrastructure, electrical contracting, construction staffing, skilled trades staffing, workforce solutions, general contracting, or critical infrastructure strongly encouraged
  • Ability to open new doors, identify decision-makers, generate qualified opportunities, understand construction projects and labor requirements, close new business, and build long-term accounts
