About the role

  • Junior Account Executive selling BluSynq’s AI front-desk agent into new markets. Owning discovery, demos, proposals and net-new customer closes beyond DockMaster’s marina base.

Responsibilities

  • Sell BluSynq, an AI-powered agent for front-desk operations, in new markets outside DockMaster’s existing marina customer base
  • Work with a dedicated SDR to define target accounts, review prospect lists, listen to calls and improve meeting quality
  • Accept, qualify or reject booked meetings against agreed criteria and provide same-day feedback
  • Self-source pipeline through phone, email, LinkedIn and occasional trade shows
  • Research accounts before calls and learn the vocabulary of new industries
  • Log all sales activity in HubSpot, tagged by vertical and lead source
  • Own deals from first meeting through discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, close and signature
  • Run discovery calls focused on missed calls, after-hours bookings and staff time lost to the phone
  • Deliver BluSynq demos and connect product value to time savings and captured revenue
  • Hand new customers to Onboarding and Customer Success with the necessary context
  • Report on tested verticals, objections, competitive mentions, pricing pushback and market response
  • Participate in weekly coaching and improve based on activity numbers and recorded calls
  • Achieve ramp milestones including demo certification, outbound activity, qualified pipeline, first closed deal, quota carrying and accurate forecasting
  • Conduct 8–10 discovery calls per week at full ramp and approximately 25 quality outbound touches per day
  • Maintain 3x pipeline coverage, agreed self-sourced pipeline contribution and high CRM data quality

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in a sales, customer-facing or target-driven role
  • Comfortable making cold calls
  • Resilient about rejection
  • Clear, confident communication on the phone, video and in writing
  • Coachable and willing to apply feedback
  • Willing to partner with an SDR by providing direction and feedback
  • Organized and self-directed for remote work
  • Curious about how different businesses operate and interested in software sales
  • Legally able to work in Canada
  • Available to work North American business hours
  • Preferred: exposure to cold outbound, such as SDR/BDR work, retail, hospitality, call centre, recruiting or fundraising
  • Preferred: experience selling into multiple industries or small owner-operated businesses
  • Preferred: CRM and prospecting-tool experience, including HubSpot, Salesforce or ZoomInfo
  • Preferred: familiarity with marinas, boating, RV parks, campgrounds, storage, dealerships or similar businesses
  • Preferred: interest in AI and automation
  • SaaS experience, a university degree in a specific subject, and an existing book of business are not required
