About the role

  • Inside Sales Representative supporting Dock Products Canada’s access solutions sales. Managing leads, quotes, customer relationships, and coordination with production and engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of assigned product applications, including design, installation, and operation
  • Interact with potential customers, architects, and engineers
  • Provide sales support for Regional Sales representatives
  • Assist Regional and National Accounts with marketing and submittal pieces and segment-specific strategies
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships and optimize resource use to achieve targets
  • Perform online customer training where required
  • Compile prospective customer lists and sales leads
  • Source opportunities through inbound website, internet, phone, and team-member leads
  • Follow up on leads and document lead activity
  • Perform outbound cold calls and emails
  • Respond to client calls and requests
  • Increase sales through upselling and quotation follow-up
  • Review and approve non-standard quotes or bids
  • Enter customer and sales contact data into the database
  • Cover day-to-day activities in open territories as needed
  • Conduct post-shipment and post-installation customer follow-up
  • Liaise with production and engineering to ensure on-time delivery and resolve technical issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or Engineering
  • Estimating experience
  • 3+ years of Inside Sales or Project Management experience preferred
  • Proven success record in exceeding revenue and margin budget goals
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards (JDE) and related business systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and maintain performance in a fast-paced and changing work environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships across all organizational levels
