Responsibilities
- Manage and execute payroll for multiple business units, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Perform standard payroll processing duties and act as a subject matter expert.
- Lead initiatives to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, while supporting audits and complex payroll scenarios.
- Conduct internal payroll audits and support external audits.
- Configure and troubleshoot payroll systems (e.g., UKG Pro), implement automation, and lead upgrades.
- Develop advanced payroll reports for leadership and analyze trends.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years in payroll with multi-province complexity and large Team Member base.
- PCP required; CPM designation preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in payroll systems (UKG Pro), Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), and reporting tools.
- In-depth understanding of federal/provincial legislation, tax rules, and benefits administration.
- Strong analytical ability, project management experience, and ability to influence stakeholders.
- English proficiency is required for this position to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bilingualism (French and English) may be required depending on the specific role, location, and the needs of the organization.
