About the role

  • Sales Development Representative generating enterprise and mid-market pipeline for Splunk, Cisco’s secure digital platform. Developing account strategies, campaigns, and outbound prospecting across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Develop prospecting strategies tailored to specific accounts or territories
  • Collaborate with sales to generate pipeline within the assigned region
  • Design and implement campaigns, enhance the campaign library, and partner with Sales & Marketing
  • Conduct cold outbound prospecting to grow current customers and introduce Splunk’s portfolio to new prospects
  • Identify relevant initiatives and projects for assigned accounts
  • Articulate the importance of account initiatives and demonstrate how Splunk provides valuable solutions
  • Create pipeline, communicate, and deliver account plans
  • Research and cluster accounts into strategic segments
  • Establish new connections within assigned accounts
  • Navigate customer buying processes as part of the account team

Requirements

  • 1+ years of demonstrated experience in selling or pipeline generation for technology solutions
  • Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) is a plus
  • Ability to apply specific solutions to customer challenges and recommend appropriate products or services
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and monitoring sales activities, customer interactions, and key signals
  • Experience developing and implementing account planning strategies
  • Ability to identify key decision-makers and understand customer needs
  • Ability to communicate the value of SaaS solutions to potential buyers
  • Ability to evaluate prospects’ likelihood of becoming customers
  • Successful prospecting experience and ability to secure initial meetings
  • Industry knowledge and market intelligence
