About the role
- Payroll Supervisor leading a team of payroll specialists at Vensure Employer Solutions. Ensuring timely payroll execution and driving process improvements within the payroll function.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and oversee a dedicated team of Senior Payroll Specialists, Specialists, Assistants, and Associates.
- Ensure timely, accurate execution of complex payrolls while driving process improvements.
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership, manage performance reviews, approve timecards/PTO, and coach team members.
- Monitor daily data input and check preparation to guarantee accurate, scheduled payroll completion.
- Analyze systemic payroll hurdles and implement best practices to improve departmental efficiency.
- Act as the second-level escalation point for complex payroll issues, ensuring strict adherence to laws.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, ideally within a payroll services, PEO, or high-volume BPO industry.
- Proven expertise processing and managing multi-Canadian provincial payrolls.
- Professional, bilingual fluency in French and English is mandatory.
- High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of traditional or non-traditional education, training, and experience.
- Active PCP or PLP certification mandatory.
- Certified Payroll Manager designation preferred.
- Strong organizational agility with the ability to prioritize and switch tasks under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and audience-adaptation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel and Outlook).
