Senior Travel Claims Specialist working in travel claims risk management team at Manulife. Handling adjudication claims, providing decisions, and resolving customer complaints.
Responsibilities
Work with Manulife’s Third Party Providers of emergency medical assistance
Make final claims decisions, claims exceptions, and business decisions on contested claims
Review and respond to appeals or correspondence submitted by lawyers on behalf of their clients
Investigate, resolve, and respond to Escalated Complaints
Conduct monthly random audits of travel claims and credit card benefits processed by Manulife’s Third Party Providers
Provide input on contract wording for new and existing products and plans
Requirements
3-5 years’ experience in adjudication claims, preferably life, health or travel
Proven analytical, problem solving, decision making, and negotiation skills.
knowledge of medical terminology, medications and their applications, diseases, tests, and treatment modes is an asset
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism
Ability to identify potential problems and risks, and be accountable for solutions
