About the role

  • BMO Investment Operations associate processing account transfers, transactions, and service requests remotely in Ontario. Supporting stakeholders, reconciliations, reporting, regulatory controls, and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Support and provide service for BMO’s Investment Operations function and business stakeholders
  • Execute Investment product and service processes in accordance with financial and regulatory controls and operational guidelines
  • Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
  • Support change management execution and sustainment activities
  • Act as a problem-solving resource for more junior staff
  • Organize work information for accuracy and completeness
  • Execute service requests, transactions, queries, and other routine tasks within service-level agreements
  • Process transactions, activities, and services accurately and on time while complying with regulatory and risk controls
  • Respond accurately and knowledgeably to internal and external stakeholder questions and requests
  • Follow documented policies and procedures and meet all SLAs
  • Check and reconcile information and documentation
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Identify, analyze, resolve, or escalate issues and problems
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to fulfill service-delivery expectations
  • Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements and operational risks
  • Collaborate on development and implementation of new processes and systems and improvements to existing ones
  • Support development of tools and delivery of training
  • Complete complex and diverse tasks and handle escalations
  • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions aligned with business strategy and applicable policies, laws, and regulations

Requirements

  • Typically between 2–3 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology
  • Good knowledge and understanding of business unit products, services, processes, and controls
  • Good knowledge of business risk and regulatory requirements
  • Good prioritization skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Good collaboration and team skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Specialized knowledge
