About the role

  • Business Development Specialist supporting marketing and client growth initiatives at Canadian law firm. Analyzing market intelligence, managing business development programs, and strengthening client relationships across Canadian offices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic support and recommendations for marketing, business development, and client plans for practice, industry, markets, and strategic issues groups
  • Assist with go-to-market strategies and targeting initiatives
  • Lead or support business development initiatives, including sponsorships, speaking engagements, directory and client award submissions, and marketing materials
  • Compile and analyze competitive and business intelligence reports with Research, Client Service & Innovation, and Finance
  • Support lawyers and Clients & Markets teams with credentials packages, info sheets, and deal lists
  • Identify and submit significant matters to the Deals & Cases team for proposals, rankings, website, awards submissions, and marketing materials
  • Track business development and marketing activity in databases, including Salesforce
  • Support the Net Promoter Score process to collect and track client feedback
  • Support the Marketing Solutions team by routing requests and assisting with lawyer profile updates
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience, preferably in a professional services firm
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Ability to quickly learn and leverage new technology solutions
  • Experience working with Salesforce and SharePoint an asset
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize challenging deadlines
  • Systematic and logical approach with great attention to detail
  • Professional maturity, tact, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
