About the role

  • Sales Development Representative responsible for generating new partnership conversations and managing brand relationships for Random Golf Club. Focus on building community experiences and connections in golf.

Responsibilities

  • Outbound Prospecting: Build and execute outbound strategy to generate new partnership conversations. Responsibilities include: Researching and building target lists across priority categories (apparel, travel, tech, spirits, financial services, etc.)
  • Cold outreach via email, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Personalizing outreach to RGC's content and audience story - not generic templated pitches. Twenty emails that land beats two hundred that don't.
  • Tracking response rates and iterating on messaging.
  • Lead Qualification: Vet inbound and outbound interest to ensure only strong-fit brands move forward. Responsibilities include: Initial discovery calls to understand brand goals, budget range, and fit.
  • Qualifying against RGC's audience demographics and partnership tiers
  • Flagging category conflicts or brand-risk concerns before they reach the Head of Partnerships.
  • Protecting the community from partners that don't ring true. If our members wouldn't buy it, we shouldn't be selling it.
  • Pipeline Management: Own the CRM and reporting for top-of-funnel activity. Responsibilities include: Logging all outreach, responses, and meeting outcomes.
  • Maintaining an organized, up-to-date pipeline view.
  • Providing weekly reporting on outreach volume, response rates, and meetings booked.
  • Handoff & Internal Coordination: Act as the bridge between prospecting and closing. Responsibilities include: Preparing clean handoff notes for the Head of Partnerships ahead of first pitch calls.
  • Coordinating scheduling and follow-up logistics.
  • Working with the Partnerships Account Manager to understand what 'good fit' partners look like post-close.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidates may come from backgrounds such as: SDR/BDR roles at SaaS or media companies
  • Sports marketing or sponsorship sales
  • Agency new-business/outbound roles
  • Early-career sales with strong hustle and coachability
  • Key qualities include: You care about golf, or about what golf could be. Don't need a handicap, but you should be able to tell a brand why our community turns up.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable with high-volume outbound and rejection
  • Research-driven - can identify the right target and the right angle
  • Says when something isn't working, asks for help early
  • Self-motivated in a remote, fast-paced startup environment
  • Bonus points if you have experience in: Golf or outdoor lifestyle brands, Creator economy or influencer partnerships, CRM tools (HubSpot, Monday, Salesforce, or similar).

Benefits

  • All are welcome and encouraged to apply.
