About the role

  • ADP Sales Manager coaching Sun Life’s early-career insurance and wealth advisors. Driving sales productivity, readiness, progression, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Insurance and/or Wealth licensed Advisors
  • Support advisor onboarding and readiness through expectation setting, success measures, and program milestones
  • Develop early-career advisors’ skills, confidence, and business acumen
  • Provide structured coaching, ongoing feedback, developmental experiences, and individualized development plans
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to support advisor development, productivity, and sales results
  • Support foundational sales capabilities, including prospecting and holistic needs-based conversations
  • Monitor advisor progress, identify development opportunities, and support career transitions
  • Manage the day-to-day sales and service function
  • Plan workforce scheduling to ensure optimal coverage
  • Design, execute, and measure client contact campaigns supporting Assisted Advice strategies
  • Collaborate with Analytics to close data gaps, analyze results, provide feedback, and recommend improvements
  • Build a client- and sales-centric atmosphere focused on retention and loyalty
  • Maintain advisor and financial planner understanding of wealth, life, and health benefits products and market trends
  • Build relationships with Individual Distribution, Dealer leaders, and compliance partners
  • Drive advisor development, sales activity, productivity, progression, and conversion objectives
  • Identify team strengths and gaps and develop capability and skills
  • Represent team change requirements and advocate for timely training and process improvements

Requirements

  • 8+ years of sales leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Distribution, Insurance and Wealth business
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and manage advisors in a performance-driven sales environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Strong partnerships across distribution, recruiting, learning, operations, compliance, and other cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate data into insights and recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a frequently changing regulatory environment
  • Relationship-building skills with key external and internal business partners
  • Strong sales and service orientation
  • Knowledge and experience of industry compliance standards and practices
  • Licensing requirements listed as preferred, not required: successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC; Life, Accident and Sickness licensed; MFDA Branch Manager status, including successful completion of the Branch Manager’s Course and minimum 2 years relevant experience
