About the role

  • Sales Development Representative introducing Archistar’s AI PreCheck permitting technology to North American municipalities. Researching government markets, creating qualified opportunities and nurturing public-sector relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Research municipalities and government organisations across Canada and the United States to identify new opportunities
  • Identify and engage people shaping planning, building, permitting, technology and digital transformation within cities
  • Develop relationships through phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events and targeted outbound campaigns
  • Start informed conversations about municipal challenges and technology solutions
  • Qualify opportunities and work with Regional Sales Directors to progress them
  • Build and nurture prospective-customer relationships through longer government buying cycles
  • Work with Sales and Marketing on targeted campaigns, events and market initiatives
  • Research new regions, government priorities and emerging GovTech opportunities
  • Maintain disciplined CRM, pipeline and activity management
  • Develop strong knowledge of Archistar's AI PreCheck technology and explain its differentiation
  • Propose smarter ways to reach and engage customers

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in sales development, business development or a similar commercial role, ideally within GovTech or public-sector technology
  • Experience engaging government or municipal customers and understanding of how the public sector operates
  • Exposure to SaaS, enterprise technology, civic technology or digital government solutions
  • Understanding of government sales cycles, stakeholders and procurement environments
  • Experience prospecting and generating new business opportunities
  • Confidence communicating with senior and operational government stakeholders by phone, email and LinkedIn
  • Strong research skills and ability to turn prospective-customer information into relevant conversations
  • Experience working with CRM and sales engagement tools
  • Track record of working towards and achieving activity, pipeline or opportunity targets
  • Experience within permitting, planning, land management, building approvals, GIS, regulatory technology or municipal software particularly valuable
  • Ability to submit a resume and brief cover letter
