About the role

  • Talent Acquisition Partner leading full-cycle recruitment for Aviva Canada’s insurance business. Building diverse talent pipelines and advising leaders across national, multi-location hiring.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders, hiring managers, the People function team, and internal and external candidates to provide high-level recruitment services
  • Deliver recruitment support across all levels of positions and advance the Aviva Canada brand across markets and professional communities
  • Facilitate full-cycle recruiting efforts, including identifying skill and knowledge requirements, sourcing candidates, and facilitating offers
  • Identify recruitment and talent needs and implement workforce planning strategies and search assignments
  • Proactively source candidates and develop effective external talent pipelines
  • Maintain engagement with talent pipelines
  • Develop applicant pools, including diverse segments, through personal networks, job websites, and professional, college, and community relationships
  • Recruit for a variety of professional positions and ensure candidates meet required qualifications and competencies
  • Leverage selection strategies, marketing and social tools, career sites, programs, and external vendors to attract candidates
  • Conduct leader interviews to understand capability and potential
  • Craft online outreach campaigns to increase candidate pipelines into Aviva’s interview cycle
  • Work with hiring managers to clarify job requirements and assess candidates against appropriate criteria
  • Develop relationships with leaders, vendors, community organizations, and People team members
  • Stay informed about recruiting trends, innovative techniques, and best practices
  • Track employment metrics and trends to inform recruiting and retention decisions
  • Ensure a diverse slate of candidates
  • Use feedback to create a strong candidate experience

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in corporate recruiting
  • Prior experience recruiting for entry and professional level positions
  • Strong knowledge of provincial legislation governing employee recruitment, selection, and hiring
  • Proven ability to recruit for a range of positions
  • Strong search skills including Boolean search
  • Proven experience recruiting on a national, multi-location level
  • Ability to work in a shared service/matrix model
  • Experience working with Workday Recruitment
  • Education/experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree/university degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Comprehensive experience in the full lifecycle of recruiting
  • Ability to manage competing demands and be extremely adaptable and flexible
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
