About the role

  • Account Executive growing and retaining group benefits portfolios for Medavie, a national Canadian health solutions partner. Managing broker and client relationships while driving sales, profitability, and portfolio growth.

Responsibilities

  • Grow, retain, and strengthen relationships within an assigned portfolio of business.
  • Execute sales and business development strategies collaboratively with the team.
  • Manage sales performance, retention, and financial performance of the assigned block of business.
  • Achieve annual targets for new business growth, retention, profitability, and portfolio performance.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client value and strengthen relationships.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and prospective clients.
  • Partner with underwriting, implementation, proposal, and service teams to deliver effective group benefits solutions.
  • Conduct presentations, client meetings, and educational seminars.
  • Develop and execute action plans to identify business opportunities and support portfolio growth.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing learning, industry involvement, and networking.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, group benefits, insurance, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving business development and client management objectives.
  • Experience developing and managing broker relationships.
  • Understanding of growing and retaining a successful block of business.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • A valid driver's licence is required.
  • A current Life Licence would be considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism in English and French would be considered an asset.
